I’m an Engineering Manager and OT Cybersecurity Lead at Parsons, and a Project Manager who’s spent 20+ years in technology — the last decade or so in operational technology specifically. I am a member of ISACA Vancouver and ISC2 Vancouver, and I consult on OT/ICS engagements in the Water/Waste Water, and Transportation (Rail) sectors primarily.
I didn’t start out in security. I started as a computer technician in 2002, swapping motherboards and rolling out Windows XP for government clients, then worked my way through network admin, network analyst, and technical architect roles before landing nine years at BC Rapid Transit Company. By the end of that run I was leading Systems Maintenance, OT Cyber Security, and Engineering as three teams under one roof. That’s the lens I still use — OT security is an operations problem before it’s a technology problem.
These days that shows up as network assessments, governance docs, and IEC 62443 architecture work for clients, plus the occasional conference talk on OT cybersecurity and systems maintenance.
The rest of this site is where the two halves of my brain meet: the professional OT security stuff, and the personal projects — mostly me running a self-hosted infrastructure (Home Lab) and figuring out how to organize my own digital life without losing my mind. Expect posts on both.
